On the south shore of the island, you’ll find the two main towns of Koloa and Poipu. Poipu is a popular tourist destination, luring visitors with its exceptional climate and beautiful beaches. Residents can take advantage of this ideal environment year round. The nearby town of Koloa was Hawaii’s first productive sugar plantation, established back in 1835.
