West Kauai is home to Waimea and the spectacular Waimea Canyon. Nicknamed the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” by Mark Twain, the canyon is one of Kauai’s biggest attractions. The town of Waimea itself is low-key and laid back, filled with many significant historical landmarks.
