What's the price of paradise? Honolulu Board of Realtors January 2012 statistics show the median price of a single-family home on Oahu is $618,900. That can be well beyond the means of many prospective homebuyers. We searched the MLS to find 10 of the most affordable homes on Oahu and here's what we found.   We excluded a few homes in far outlying areas that were actually less expensive than these in our list.

On February 2, 2012 Prudential Locations celebrated their 42nd year in business at the Halekulani Hotel.  Over 200 awards were presented to honor the agents and their accomplishments in sales, client service, and in the community through the Locations Foundation. 

The theme of this year’s awards banquet was “Pirates of Prudential.” The agents, managers, and staff all celebrated in the piratey theme.  The banquet began with this very special and fun video starring some of the hustling Pirates of Prudential.

Overall sales and median prices were relatively stable within the three month time period from November 2011 thru January 2012. Interest rates during this time have remained low, presenting great opportunities for both buyers and sellers. [More]
