Ko Olina: "Place of Joy"

by Sonya Milana (RA) 3/13/2013 4:17:00 PM

As part of an original royal land division, Ko Olina was once a favorite destination among Hawaii’s Ali’i, or royalty. The name Ko Olina is Hawaiian for “Place of Joy” and it truly is blessed with some of the most amazing scenery and coastline of all the islands.

Today's resort community of Ko Olina covers 642 acres of land on the southwest point (Leeward) of Oahu. Removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, Ko Olina has become one of the most attractive destinations for island locals and visitors alike. Master-planned by Jeff Stone of The Resort Group, Ko Olina consists of four beautiful man-made lagoons and two private coves stretching over approximately 1 ½ to 2 miles.

Where Are Oahu's Offshore Real Estate Investors Coming From?

by Scott Higashi (RA) VP of Sales at Prudential Locations 3/6/2013 2:06:00 PM

We recently conducted a study on Oahu's offshore real estate investors, and how this segment of the market is evolving over time. The definition of an "offshore buyer"  simply means a buyer of real estate on Oahu who originates anywhere but Hawaii. Looking at 2005 versus 2012, we see a reduction in the total amount of offshore buyers by about half. 2012 was a much more localized market than 2005.

March 2012 Oahu Real Estate Report

by Prudential Locations 3/29/2012 9:39:01 AM

Key Observations:

In the three months ending February 2012, the real estate market showed signs of stability with improvement in select neighborhoods as compared to the same time period last year.
Stability in the market is the result of low interest rates, low inventory levels, and low days on market. This combination creates unique opportunities for anyone considering their next move in real estate.  [More]
